Barak the Magic Negro...racist or not???

Here is a link the parody that Rush Limbaugh played on his show today. I don't think he had anything to do with the slide show though. He said it wasn't racist but poking fun at an LA Times article in which the author called Barak Obama the magic negro. He was also making fun of a supposed feud between Al Sharpton and Obama.

In the context of the two articles that Rush was basing this on, is his parody racist or just satire.

Sean played it this evening, and it was absolutely racist. But that doesn't shock me in the least, because Rush is a racist, and what else can you expect from racists but racism? ;)

Ooohhh....it is satire. I hate Rush Limbaugh. But, cliche as it may be, "I may disagree with what you have to say but I will defend to the death your right to say it." This is why Rush should kiss the ACLU's collective ass. :gator

Anyhoo, it's also not Obama that comes off as the victim of the satire; it's Al Sharpton. I wonder what he will say about it?

I don't think it was intended to be racist.

Sharpton has always tried to get the corner market on the black candiate and been known to work against any other African-American that thought of running. I think that's racists. I think saying that Obama might not be "black enough" is racists. I think this is just poking fun of the way Sharpton has thrown hissy fits in the past and has nothing to do with race other than how Sharpton himself has made it an issue.

I wonder if that makes sense at all. :giggle
