I feel like such a grown-up knitter. I could've spent all day caressing the yarns.
Here's the yarn for the shawl. It's a 70% baby alpaca/30%silk mix. It's called Alpaca With a Twist. The background is the evil boucle afghan.

Here is a work in progress. It's the Irish Hiking Scarf in Wool-Ease. It's actually closer to a burgundy color:

Your Irish Hiking Scarf is so pretty. I made that in a maroon-ish color for the Red Scarf Project. Out of Plymouth Encore. Which I got at the very first yarn store I ever went to.

The first couple yarn stores I went to weren't so great. They didn't have much of a selection. Then I went to Village Wools in Albuquerque and I could have spent DAYS in that place. Huge selection of nice yarns. My dad made fun of me. Said I had to touch every single yarn in the store. :D
