I went to see her in concert this week (she is a very cute British singer) and she put on a good show. I had a great time going out with just girls and a good 'girl' band :D
You would probably recognize one of her songs, as she is becoming more mainstream over here now.

She's quite popular down here :)
She came for a big festival we had in January.
I saw her at Big Day Out in January...I really like her.
"Alfie" is one of those songs i can put on and Loki sits there all happy like a little elf LOL The radio edit of it here is hilarious so many beeps, whoops and twangs to cover the drug references and swearing it's like listening to kids do heads shoulders knees and toes by the time they've gotten right down to missing out their nose LOL
Amy Winehouse is the same sort of genre and just had alot of new stuff out over here lately (BIL & SIL went to watch her dj the other night at one of the big nightclubs and David was really pissed as he found out they'd left their 3 extremely high maintainence kids with sil2 over night and she's 37 weeks pg!)

the radio and tv edit is hilarious Beka. It is the only song of hers that I know but it just amuses me and Sasha likes it.

I saw her on David letterman or something. She's got an awesome sound to her!

she was so funny at the concert too :giggle She got drunk during the show and then started smoking on the stage (eventhough its illegal to smoke inside here in Vancouver). The crew on the stage were trying to wave her down to put out her siggie LOL
anyway...Alfie is a good song, and I can only imagine it edited LOL

Her dad was also a well known UK musician (Fat Les aka Keith Allen) who has done many a parody song amongst other things LOL
LOVE her voice,it is great that people are now starting to sing in a brit accent.
The only thing is I am not keen on her lyrics very young and all about the boys. I listen to it a lot because I like her voice but I hope her next album has less swearing and less songs dedicated to boys and something more deeper. I admit,I am a lyric freak ;)

I am thinking it's the hoppy-skippy-pixieness of that particular song they like, it always raises a smile in Loki (as i especially won't be making the mistake with Loks as i did with jude and listening to Bloodhound gang when he's awake as it took months to train Jude out of singing The roof is on fire - we managed to eventually get him to sing Burn Martha Monkey burn not Burn MF'er burn.... ahhh yes, that was a "fun" stage and won't be repeating that i can tell you!)

I ADORE her(have a few of her songs on my playlist). I read somewhere that a lot of folks in the US haven't heard of her... I saw her on SNL awhile back and fell in love with her.

WOW Jenny! I was just talking to my friend Sue about her last night -- we're going to see her in concert on May 21:thumbsup
I love her and Alfie is amonst the favorite songs in this house , finn think the line that goes " so please will you stop pulling me hair " is all about him LOL
