Well, we did it. It's all official, and has been sent off to the government. This past Sunday, we finally named our son. LOL

Introducing Dylan John. :yes


We were going to go with Dylan Geoffrey, (for my Poppa who died on James' due date), but having already given him my dad's name as a middle, I couldn't very well take it away. We are now already fighting with Mike's family that he will not in fact be another DJ.

I am thrilled with his name. I feel it suits him and generally just fits perfectly with the nature of his birth. Also, mum has a Welsh name. ;) He'll be four weeks on Monday.

Yeah, Erika. That was a big lesson for me. Really just ignoring all the outside input that affects me so much, so often in my life, and just going inward and going with my gut feeling. I am usually such a pushover for other peoples' opinions, letting their opinions override my own, and this was the biggest thing I had to overcome in terms of trusting myself. I think that's why I am so happy with the name, even though it was one I thought I'd never use personally.

It completely fits. It feels right. He is so cute. LOL

Also, he had just finished nursing in that photo, which is why a) there is a milky spot on my shirt, b) he is still sucking on his lower lip, and c) he likes to knead his face when he's eating, and he had just scratched himself.
