Should the EU give it's support to Britain by cutting off commercial ventures with Iran over the seizure of 14 British sailors?
I can see the EU's predicament. Lots of businesses would be hurt, plus the geo-political theory that economy can help with political change more effectively than physical force. Also, the is the whole question of losing face. I have no idea what Iran would do if it felt squeezed by the EU.
Who do I think is in the wrong? Iran. The GPS system works accurately and the Iranian government changed their orignal statement on the coordinates. (I am very interested at one part of the Iranian predicament. The commanding officer seized is a woman. Meaning that any statements must come from her as she represents the chain of command. That's why she was made to make a statement accepting British culpability. However, Iran will lose face in the Muslim world if they mistreat or execute her! Bet the Iranian government is not happy at dealing with her as commanding officer.):nannybooboo
