I need your help!

I signed up to cook dinner for church tonight and I'm at a total loss. I'm thinking I need something to put in a big pot as the main dish and then I can work around that. I remember your taco soup recipe and wondered if you had a few recipes like that you wouldn't mind pulling out for me. I have about 10 adults and about 10 kids to feed. Do you think soup would be too hot on a spring night?

Thank you!!

hmmm....would a big chicken pasta salad help? That would be nice and cool.
You could do that and some bread and a fruit salad.

I think tortilla soup would be a good idea, though...since you put sour cream and cheese on top, it seems cooler to me than most soups. You could bring that, and a whole bunch of cornbread, and a fruit or veggie salad. How warm is it down there? Here, it'll be back down in the 50s by dinnertime, and that is sufficiently cool for soup, IMO. Yesterday was 80, and that's too hot for soup, but 50s or 60s is fine, I think.

I have an awesome fajita recipe which is delicious in hot weather, but that might be difficult to pull off at a something like this.

I'll have to ponder this and come back with more ideas. Do you still have the tortilla soup recipe? I think it's still floating around 20ish somewhere. :giggle
