I went to pick up Thomas from preschool today, and it's about a mile or so from our house, so I brought the wagon along in case he got tired on the way home.

So I'm just walking down the street, pulling my empty wagon, and wearing orange shoes and big sunglasses and a silly hat, and I realized that I probably looked like the crazy neighborhood wagon lady to everyone I was passing by. It's one thing to pull a wagon with a child in it, and a whole different thing to just pull an empty one around, especially when half of what you're wearing is ridiculous.

Do you ever do things like that, where you're just thinking, 'What the heck was I thinking when I went out like this?'

Well, my mom lives in the bldg next to me, so sometimes I'd sleep over with AJ, then go home in the morning to get our stuff for the day. It usually entailed me being in my pajamas with a stroller and a diaper bag, but NO BABY. You bet your bottom dollar I always got at least one stupid comment like "you lost the baby!"

I get that on occasion as well if we all go to a store and split up or something. I like to respond with, "No, I traded the baby in for this great stroller!"

LOL Yes I have been known to do things like that. Once when we lived in Italy the grocery store was a few blocks up and i had to get quite a bit of stuff. Well usually i had the kids with me in the double stroller with the big under basket but my frined offered to keep all the kids. Well I didn't want to pass up the chance to get to walk up there alone but I couldn't carry all of that stuff back so I took the empty stroller. :giggle I got quite a few looks pushing it around full of groceries instead of kids.
