Tell me something I don't know. It's not just them-every person from every different faith I've talked to has a different opinion on the war.

I'm wondering if this is more of an issue among evangelical Christians than mainline Christians because, in general, evangelicals seems to expect more political agreement from one another than Catholics or mainline Protestants do?
But it's certainly not surprising. Honestly, I find it far more surprising that so many evangelical churches and leaders supported and encouraged the war, not that some evangelical Christians would be opposed to it. I don't agree with "just war" theory, but I can at least understand it and find some Christian ethical basis for it, but there is no moral justification, at all, for the kind of preemptive, illegal war we have been engaging in in Iraq.

I consider myself to be an evangelical Christian, but in some respects, it does not affect my political views.
I hate war, and I never support war. I understand there were initally good reasons to go into Iraq and I fully support and always will support our troops. None of this is their fault.
I just hate war, ANY war -- I think fighting is wrong, I think killing is wrong, no matter WHO is doing it.
That's just me ;)
