Ha. We had Blue Cross PPO when I was having Liam. The hospital that was less than a mile from my house dropped Blue Cross during that time for not paying its bills. I was giving birth in a birth center, but had there been an emergency at home, the hospital I would have been taken to was the one up the street from me, and they wouldn't have accepted my insurance. I've been insured and uninsured, and screwed either way. If it's not Blue Cross failing to pay doctors, then it's been my husband's company failing to pay Blue Cross. Now we don't have insurance for the adults in our family, because no insurance company will touch me because I was very sick several years ago. Insurance issues make me feel like vomiting.
