I just got back from my mini-vacation in an area that is very dry. Its the tip of the desert that goes from AZ up into this area called the Okanagan. Its in the middle of BC (province I live in).

So anyway, while I was there, I had ZERO bone pain. It is verrry dry there. I have hip joint pain and knee pain quite a bit and the rainy climate we live in here makes it worse. Its very rainy and always kind of damp. I didn't notice that I didn't have any pain until I cam back and the pain returned along with the down pour weather.

We would not relocate to this area, because we don't want to uproot our kids...but I can definately see why soooooo many people retire out that way. It was really nice to be pain free for a few days.

It is amazing how damp weather can just be a cause of misery. My best friend suffers from arthritis and finds our winters and springs pretty gruesome for pain.

I find the same thing in Hungary. It isn't very dry (ie what you would have felt) but is a lot drier than Ireland. Makes for more pleasant cold weather as well!
