:bite me if you don't! LOL I was dying to use that fella!

Well! Just wanted to say that I have been lurking quite often but not posting as much for a variety of reasons....the main one being that I have been fighting a battle with pain on and off for a while. This started back in November, some of you might remember, and I had two abdominal CAT scans that showed up a big fat nothing. The pain went away and no one could really tell me what it was, why it was there, or why it went away. So I sat back and didn't worry about it much til it started back again a few weeks ago. Since I had been led to believe by two doctors that it was more than likely a kidney stone, I didn't rush to go to the doctor when I was in pain. Again, after a weekend it passed...and now looking back, that probably wasn't the smartest decision for me to make. Then it started back up again on Thursday with what felt like (TMI) some serious gas up under my ribs. But it didn't go away, and only became sharper until finally Monday I broke down and saw a dr. She agreed that it was likely kidney stones and scheduled me for yet another CAT scan. Went for that yesterday, and called for results today. Lo and behold, and she did NOT see any stones but DID see a cyst on my ovaries!

So I'm calling my GYN tomorrow to see where to go from here. If you'll keep me in your prayers, I'd appreciate it.

In the meantime, this has also not helped me on the depression front, yk? So that has kept me from being 'myself' as much as I would be online. Hopefully now that we're figuring out what the deal is, I'll get out of my funk.

Other family members: Chris is good--busy with school, and he actually got to run his school for 2 days a few weeks ago! It went well, and I've even heard veteran teachers complementing him!

Isaac just turned six and is growing unbelievably fast! He has basically skipped size 7 pants and moved on to 8s---he started the school year in 5s, mind you!

Adam is three, what else can ya say?! He wants to do everything like his big brother and do it his own way at the same time. He's a delight and a pain all at the same time! :D

I miss ya'll and love you and think of you more than you can imagine. Holler at me sometime if you see me on. This 'funk' has made me less likely to just strike up an IM conversation even though I'd love to chat. Please know that I am here, reading, and hopefully will be jumpin' in there more really soon!!

Awww, Christi, I'm so sorry you're feeling so much pain and that they're not sure what's causing it. Could it possibly be gall bladder related? My mom had a lot of problems with hers that sound similar to what you've been experiencing, and she ended having hers removed.

Again, I'm sorry you're hurting! :hugs

Thank you, Sarah! I had an indepth scan done of my gall bladder in December, so that isn't as likely. I'm not saying no to anything at this point now though! I just really want it to go away!!

Christi, I'm so sorry you've been in pain. I will be keeping you in my thoughts. I hope the health kinks are all worked out as soon as possible and that that fixes the other areas, too. Mental health and physical health are so connected!

:hugs I'm so sorry to hear you're in so much pain. That just sucks. I really hope that you can get things figured out and be feeling better soon.

I can't blame you one bit for being depressed. Chronic pain is so connected with depression, because being in pain is depressing. Once you get physically better, I'm sure you're emotional state will be much better.

You KNOW I'll holler at you whenever I see you online! ;)

I'm so sorry you've been going through all this pain. I can imagine it would make it very hard to stay on top of the depression. It's so hard with just small things, I can't imagine with something as debilitating as that!

You will definitely be in my prayers. I hope that there is an easy fix for the cysts and it rids you of your pain! :hugs

Thanks, Kami! I've felt really good today. I went to Curves and also rode bikes with the rest of the family, so I'm sure the exercise was good for me, too! I just feel better knowing what I'm dealing with!
