sat here waiting on David to get home as I have just had to call the police - my mom arrived to fetch my kids and there was a man in a balaclava beating cr*p out of a door to an apartment over the road (same one where there is always trouble as there are smack heads living there with real live tramps too and they keep getting their kids taken off them) I dragged my mother inside (totally clueless as to what was happening) and called the police who said they'll respond asap - to give them their due they showed up very quickly but were also gone pretty quickly too :hellno

I have noooooooo idea if they caught who is was but i shoved my kids off to my mothers house where it is sane and safe and now i am sat here waiting on David to come home.

It is so not a nice feeling right now!!!!!!

(and if it was the stupid f*cker who lives there breaking into his own place again I shall personally beat living daylights out of him when the police return him back home- i am so sick to death of my kids being freaked out by this!!!! Chase wouldn't go into the kitchen on her own to fetch clean socks "just in case" because she knows the wierdo's apartment is over the road.

That would make me a nervous wreck! I'm having enough trouble just dealing with the jerks next door. I hope David gets home quickly and you feel safe again!

Ugh Beka, that sucks! It sounds like a situation my sister was in a few years ago. She and her roommate were living in an apartment, and the couple next to them were known drug dealers, so they had all kinds of "interesting" hanging around, and at least once a week the cops were knocking on my sister's door to see if she had any information. It was crazy!

:squeeze Beka. James grew up on a road similar to yours. There were known drug dealers (usually dealing out of their baby's pram) and IRA members. It isn't too bad now but there are still some of the bad elements there. It is pretty freaky when something like that goes down! :hugs

well.... (and you are going to laugh at this)... apparently it was the man who lives there BUT he dressed up to break in (as he is a nutter) as he has been moved by the council and apparently was going back to break in to let the tramps back in :shakehead

Because i phoned the police (what kind of a weaner wears a balaclava to break into a house everyone thinks is theirs already??? if i'd have seen it was just him i'd have put it down to his being less than smart and having locked himself out again) they came out and arrested him as he no longer is the resident of that council home (gov'mt owned housing- most of our estate is)

BUT the frikken annoying thing.... as you may know we have just been told it could take years for us to be rehoused somewhere bigger and we pay our own rent, we always have done- he is unemployed, keeps smashing up his own apartment and yet the council have moved him (2 adults- 1 child + pregnancy, they had 3 kids removed permanently already from them) to a 3 bedroomed $1500 a month house in a really nice estate!!!!!! He lives exclusively on welfare, is a smack head, smashes up the property they give him and yet he gets that and we (2 adults, 4 kids ALWAYS paid our own rent and taken care of our home) are told we can't move to a private rental like him unless we can afford the biiiig increase in rent as they won't help with it but if we didn't work at all they'd pay for us to be moved into a private rental- because we pay our own rent we have to wait for a gov't owned 3 or 4 bedroom come up which could be years (i just don't get why being unemployed and entirely on welfare he doesn't have to wait in the line with the rest of us who need low cost housing? Why the hell does he get put into private rental at three times the rent cost? AAAARRRGGGHHH)

so do i feel bad i had mr ass-head arrested again today? No not for one second!!!!! (and despite my whining about his being rehoused somewhere real nice that those of us who work can't afford to rent at least he is finally out of our hair!!!!!- no more washing machine humping or street domestics at 3am!)
